Editorial start:
With the majority of students in school being technologically smart, much of the youth in our country are failing to realize the dangers in all this advancement. Our generations people skills have completely deteriorated, as well as our caring for others as much. We no longer have to leave the house to do anything. We can shop, chat, do homework, and play games on-line. Although we are now connected to each other more than ever, it is not in the same personal way that it used to be. Even when we are forced to be around other people, like sitting on the bus riding to or from school, we have ways of keeping apart. Our i-pods, cell phones, and other devices can make sure that we never have to get out of our comfort zone and talk to anyone other than your best friends. Along with our people skills, our health is going down the drain with it. We can sit all day never having to get up, burn a few calories and see or do something in person. Now even some school is online. If we keep going at the pace we are going, soon not just college will be online, but high school too. Jobs will be lost, and students talking skills will deteriorate even more. Although it seems to be such a good thing to have all this technology, it makes me stop and think about how far we have come in such a short amount of time.
